Censorship: “CORONA.FILM Prologue” Taken Down Within Two Days

Documentary Explores the Science Behind the Pandemic

“CORONA.FILM” was conceived in April 2020 as a crowd-founded documentary to investigate the corona crisis. The credentials of Berlin-based director and producer Robert Cibis include the 2017 documentary “trustWHO”, which uncovered the influence of the pharmaceutical industry on the World Health Organization. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cibis’s company OVALmedia had worked primarily for mainstream TV channels. Since mid-2020, they also act as the broadcaster of the weekly sessions of the German corona commission.

The 75-minute documentary “CORONA.FILM – Prologue” premiered on Tuesday, 23 March 2021, through contribution-based viewing, but within two days Vimeo deleted OVALmedia’s entire 10-year old channel. The filmmakers then released the film freely on Bitchute (https://www.bitchute.com/video/8jp63jH8kauM), Libry (https://odysee.com/@ovalmedia:d/CORONAFILM_prologue_EN:d), and also Youtube (censored), asking viewers for voluntary donations. The English copy of the film is
subtitled (not synchronized), with some of interviews included in their original language (English, Italian, …).

“CORONA.FILM – Prologue” focuses on the scientific background of the pandemic. The documentary profiles German lawyers Dr. Viviane Fischer and Dr. Reiner Fuellmich, two of the initiators of the corona commission, who themselves are investigating the scientific merit of government pandemic response measures along with former Dutch bio-pharmaceutical scientist and founder of the viruswaarheid.nl (“virus truth”) platform.

Expert testimonials throughout the film include leading American epidemiologist Dr. John Ioannidis, well-known for his statistically sound assessment of the COVID-19 infection-fatality rate and his critique of the failed epidemiological modeling efforts worldwide; Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg, retired MD, immunologist, and German health politician who cautions against an overreaction to SARS-CoV-2 since March 2020; and Austrian psychiatrist Dr. Raffael Bonelli, who maintains a popular video blog with sharp comments on the interpersonal and mental health aspects of the crisis, to name but a few.

Some of the strongest moments come right at the start of the film, when the dystopian scene of empty streets in Paris is superimposed by a quote from Klaus Schwab’s book “The Great Reset.” The scene is eerily reminiscent of Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel “The Handmaid’s Tale” and its video adaptation. The second segment of “CORONA.FILM – Prologue” deals with the all-important crisis situation in Northern Italy that impacted European and North-American governments’ pandemic responses. We are shown a more realistic appraisal one year later, with particularly telling observations from an Italian funeral director. Many of the well-known issues around masking of children, isolation of frail seniors, restrictions of civil rights, biased mainstream media reporting, faulty PCR tests, and vaccine safety are also touched on throughout the film.

An explanation for the film’s removal from Vimeo or Youtube was not provided. Other critics of the pandemic response are being silenced by social media corporations with reference to unspecified “violation of community guidelines”. A meme that makes the rounds pointedly asks you to “Name a time in history when a group that censored free speech and banned books were the good guys.” The filmmakers at OVALmedia are now working on a 300-minute version of “CORONA.FILM” that promises to unveil some of the politics behind the crisis.
